Pontoon Beach

The Party at the Beach, is an annual event that is held to bring not only local individuals and businesses together, but also those who reside further away. The “party” was started by Pontoon Beach mayor, Mike Pagano back in 2012. The free event consists of bands coming out and playing for the night. Some past performances have consisted of: .38 Special, Night Ranger, The Charlie Daniels Band and many more. Not only is there music but there is a variety of vendors present to sell food and drinks. The “party” also promotes unity in the community through the availability and multitude of local businesses sponsoring the event.

When the weather gets warm visit the Randall D. Dalton Veteran’s Park for Acoustics in the Park. Bring a cooler, pull out a lawn chair and enjoy live music (Acoustic events only)! Wonderdogs are on site for food purchase. Acoustic shows are from 6:30pm until 9:30pm.

Randall D. Dalton Veteran’s Park was established in honor of all Veterans, living and deceased, of all wars and conflicts since World War 1, the Park is located off Highway 111 (directly behind MasterMind Vodka – American 1 Distillery). Construction of the Park’s 1st phase was funded through an Illinois state grant and private donations.

The Park’s main features include the Veteran’s Monument, Flags, and 2 Fallen Soldier Statues. Plans call for a walking trail, 2 pavilions, a small amphitheater, trees, benches, bar-b-que pits and other amenities providing a family-friendly place to enjoy our wonderful community.

In addition to the Party at the Beach, Pontoon Beach has numerous other sources of income, most notably are the hotels. There is a diverse selection of establishments to choose from if in need of a place to rest. A small list of them are: La Quinta, Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott and Best Western to name a few. These fine establishments contribute to the tourism that Pontoon Beach receives from travellers. All of these businesses are located in ideal spots, right off the highway and also near where the Party at the Beach is held.
